"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Sunny Tuesday!

Today we began our day with Art class with Miss. Kerr.
Then students had snacks and we headed to class to have our morning circle time where we did our calendar, songs, special helper and weather.
Next we had some friends sharing their "Me" bag. We are learning to sit still when a friend is talking/presenting in front of the class. :)
In language we will be learning name, sound and formation of letter I this week.
Every week students will learn a different letter. They will also learn beginning sounds, for example i says ĭ for igloo and CVC words (consonant - vowel - consonant) for example pig, wig, etc...
Today we learned a song about the letter I and then used bingo dauber to stamp the letter I. Students also made a mosaic of their names.
In Math, we continue with our data management unit. Today students were divided into 3 groups and they had different math manipulatives to sort. I let them decided if they wanted to sort by colour, shape or size.
In our UOI we started our "Me" presentations. Everyone did a great job today!
We'll finish the presentations tomorrow!
Today students attended Gym, Arts and French classes. Please, check their blogs for more information.
Have a great evening everyone!
