"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!
JKs had a lot to tell today!!! :)
We began our morning with our circle time and snacks.
In language arts we are learning name, sound and formation of B. Today we learned a little bit about bees as our phonics song is about our friend Betsy Bee.
Next, students traced and wrote upper case and lower case B. They also identified the pictures that begin with b sound.
In the afternoon we got really messy. We had a pumpkin investigation in our class. We are getting ready for the science fair taking place on November 26th. The question for our science project is: does the pumpkin size affects the amount of seeds inside?
First we used lego blocks to measure how tall the pumpkins are.
Next, each student guessed which pumpkin would have the most seeds, we collect the information and put in form of a bar graph. Then we extended our investigation and made this chart together.

Next, we opened both pumpkins and separated the seeds. Tomorrow we will be counting the seeds and find out the final result. Students had fun touching and using their 5 senses to explore the pumpkins!

Have a nice evening everyone!
