"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Welcome Back!

We had a fantastic day back!
Everyone was excited about sharing what they did over the break.
Today we started the day with our morning calendar routine and snacks.
In language we sang our phonics song and completed a couple of worksheets to review the letter and sounds learned so far.
In our UOI we began our unit on animals and living things. Please see the blog side bar for more details. We put our UOI board together and then students drew a picture of their favorite animal.
In Math we began a new unit on patterns. A letter will be sent home tomorrow with details.
To help students understand what a pattern is, we made bracelets using beads and pipe cleaner.
Today students attended gym and French classes.
Have a great evening everyone!
