"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Sunny Tuesday!

Great weather today!
Now that we finally have a nice weather, I would suggest you apply sunscreen on your child before coming to school. We, teachers, are not allowed to apply sunscreen on students.
This is how our day went:
- Pancake breakfast

- Morning circle time
- Daily Five - listen to reading (Denise read a book to the class)

- Daily Five - work on writing - students practiced their printing on their Abeka workbook.
- Lunch and recess
- Daily Five - read to self/read to someone
- Math - students had to cut and paste different modes of transportation and make create patterns.
- Language - we played a different version of musical chairs. On the chairs I placed short words, when the music stopped students had to sit and read the word out loud to the class. After the game we did some dancing! Take a look:

- Lunch and recess
- Centers
- Pack up
- Ms. Reta had a very nice surprise to everyone and we gave her our gift! Thank you again all parents who contributed with this kind gesture!
