"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Sunny Friday!

What a nice sunny day! And apparently we will have a nice weather on the weekend as well! Enjoy! Go outside! :)
This was our day:
- Gym class
- Snacks and morning circle time
- Arts - Students worked on a spring mosaic flower (this activity was great for fine motor skills and hand eye coordination)
- Lunch and recess
- Daily five - listen to reading - I usually like to read to them, but today we tried to listen to this: http://www.storylineonline.net/a-bad-case-of-stripes/ after we had a discussion about the book and how important it is to be yourself and being comfortable in your own skin. We focused on the IB Learner Profile: Open Minded!
- Students finished their spring flower
- Math - we reviewed our unit on measurements and also the story of the 3 bears. Students received pictures of small, medium and big items from the story and then sorted them out.
- Daily Five - read to self
- Lunch and recess
- Pack up
- Centers
- Prize box

Have a great weekend!
